Samsung unveils mini Galaxy S III

Samsung Electronics Co. has unveiled a smaller and cheaper version of the Galaxy S III smartphone with the same screen size as the iPhone 5.  The phone looks similar to the Galaxy S III but in a smaller body, measuring in at 121.55 x 63 x 9.85 mm and weighing 111.5 g. Spec-wise, the mini is a bit of a downgrade from its big brother. The flagship Galaxy S III boasts a higher-resolution display, better camera, and support for super-fast 4G LTE networks. The Galaxy S III Mini runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Nature UI and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, which will be much slower than the 1.4GHz quad-core processor used in the S III. The smartphone comes in two version 8 and 16GB internal storage options. MicroSD card expansion is supported but only upto 32GB.
